Newark, NJ - The Wolverines dropped a close and tough loss to Harcum College 3-2 on Tuesday night. A tough loss can sometimes be a motivating factor for a team and what was a close and heavily contested matchup, remains to be seen how the Wolverines respond heading into the playoffs. With two early first half goals from Kristijan Penic and Mateo Angosto, the Wolverines would race out to a two goal lead at halftime. A pivotal moment in the second half, resulted in a red card ejection for Kristijan Penic and the Wolverines playing a man down for close to 40 minutes.
Goalkeeper Ahmed Roudane would come up huge in the second half with a penalty save, but Harcum would strike three times to win the game. The Wolverines offense would finish with 14 shots on goal and Ahmed Roudane with 13 saves in goal. Jaime Cobas would be credited with an assist for the Wolverines on the second goal.
The Wolverines (10-3-1) return to action Friday Nov. 1st at 2pm vs Massaoit in the Semi-Final of the Region 19 playoffs.
