Newark, NJ - The Wolverines pulled out a stunning come back victory over Sussex County Community College, by the score of 3-1. Essex fell behind early 1-0, when they gave up a penalty kick to Sussex in the first half. Freshmen Mateo Angosto was able to equalize just before the half, to make it 1-1. Second half goals from Kristijan Penic and Roland Kabore helped seal the victory for Essex, securing their 8th win of the season. The Wolverines finished with twenty five shots on goal for the game and now look to be rounding into form just before the Region 19 playoffs.
Jonny Miranda finished with two saves for the game and Jaime Cobas finished with an assist as well.
The Wolverines (8-2-1) return to action Thursday Oct. 10th at Dutchess Community College, with a 4pm kickoff.
