Men's Soccer Upsets #6 CCBC Essex

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines took on #6 CCBC Essex on Saturday September 28th at home and pulled off the biggest upset of the season, a 2-1 victory. In a back and forth battle on a rainy day, the Wolverines took the lead on a goal from Tyreece Francis (assisted by Jaime Cobas). The score remained 1-0 at the half, before CCBC pulled off the game tying goal mid way through the second half.

With ten minutes remaining and off a set piece, Frehmen Milomir Cvoric scored the game winning goal off a header when Jaime Cobas crossed the ball into the box for his second assist of the game. Sophomore Goalkeeper Ahmed Roudane finished with 19 saves and the win, while the Wolverines offense finished with 11 shots on goal.

The Wolverines (6-1-1) return to action next, when they play @ Georgian Court (JV) on Tuesday September October 1st for a 4pm kickoff.
