Wolverines Suffer First Loss Of The Season

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines faced Region 19 foe Mercer County Community College on Saturday September 21st, falling 6-1 to it's first defeat of the season. In what was a tightly contested contest between both sides, saw Mercer pull away in the second half. Mercer would score first early in the first half to take the 1-0 lead, before Jaime Cobas equalized just before halftime to make it 1-1. Cobas has been on a hot streak to start the season, scoring five goals in his first six games. The second half, saw Mercer pull away with five goals to kill the game off 6-1. 

Sophomore Ahmed Roudane finished with six saves, while Sophomore Tyreece Francis collected 4th assist of the season.

The Wolverines (4-1-1) return to action Tuesday September 24th at the College County of Morris for a 4pm kickoff.
