Wolverines shine at the Oscar Moore Invitational
Glassboro, NJ - The Wolverines delivered another strong showing at the Oscar Moore Invitational at Rowan University, turning in a day highlighted by personal bests and podium finishes.
Sophomore, Kadina Deeble finshed second in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.23 to give the Wolverines a dominant finish in the event. Deeble returned later to compete in the 100-meter dash final posting a personal best of 12.8 in the prelims before finishing seventh overall.
In the 200 meters, Aaliyaha Morgan added another podium finish for the Wolverines, placing third with a time of 25.7. Deeble notched yet another personal best in the event, crossing the finish line at 26.56. Morgan also doubled back in the 400 meters, delivering a solid performance with a time of 59.5 to round out a productive meet for Essex.
With multiple personal bests and strong finishes across sprint events, the Wolverines showcased their depth and continued progress as the outdoor season moves forward. The Wolverines will travel out of state this Thursday, April 16, to compete in the Lincoln University Invitational in Pennsylvania.
