The Essex Lady Wolverines have earned a spot in the semifinals

Newark, New Jersey  — The Essex Lady Wolverines have earned a spot in the semifinals of the Region 19 Division II Women's Basketball Tournament, marking the program's first playoff appearance in three years.

Essex enters the postseason as the No. 4 seed and will face No. 1 seed Harcum in the semifinal round on Thursday, February 26, at 1:00 p.m. The game will be hosted by Lackawanna College.

The Lady Wolverines finished the regular season with a 16–8 overall record, their best since the 2022–23 season. The playoff berth also marks the first postseason appearance under head coach Jahreal Cadogan, underscoring the team's continued growth and competitive progress.

Essex will look to carry its momentum into the semifinal matchup with a chance to advance to the Region 19 championship game.
