Newark, NJ - The Lady Wolverines closed out their 2024-2025 season with a win at Del Tech, 95-71 Saturday afternoon. Jakira Coar led the Wolverines with 40 points and 2 steals, while Michelle Hernandez chipped in with 12 points and 7 rebounds. In a game which the Wolverines never trailed, their offensive firepower and offensive proficiency showed. Essex would go on to shoot 55.7% from the field and hold their opponents to 37.1% shooting for the game. Sophomore Basirat Animashaun also chipped in with 9 points and 11 rebounds.
The Lady Wolverines finish Head Coach Jahreal Cadogan's second season with a record of 6-14 overall and 3-13 in region play. With the Wolverines mid-way through the semester, they now begin their off-season and look to finish strong academically.
