Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Women's Basketball Team fell in overtime to Middlesex College, 73-69. Jakira Coar led the Wolverines wih 36 points and 4 steals, whole Kayley Lynch chipped in with 18 points and 11 rebounds. A tough second quarter would lead the Wolverines to their downfall, but they battled back scoring 28 fourth quarter points to send the game to overtime. The Wolverines would go onto shoot 38.3% from the field and 45.5% from three point range, but would let the home team also shoot 38% from the field.
Mia Marie Thomas would also chip in with 8 points and 2 assists.
The Wolverines are now off until Saturday Feb. 1st, when they host the first game of a double header vs Mercer County Community College at noon in the Cleo Hill Gym.
