Wolverines Deliver Explosive Performances at Rick McCorkle Invitational

Ewing, NJ — Friday, April 24, 2026 at The College of New Jersey, the Wolverines of Essex County College Men's Track & Field team delivered a highly competitive performance at the Rick McCorkle Invitational, highlighted by multiple podium finishes and personal-best efforts against a strong field.

In the 100m, Iddrish Musah led the charge with a 2nd-place finish, clocking a personal-best time of 10.64. Teammate Raziel O'Meally added depth in the event, recording a personal-best time of 11.20.

Musah continued his standout day in the 200m, securing another 2nd-place finish with a time of 21.29, reinforcing his sprint dominance.

In the 400m, Issah Abdul Rahaman posted a solid 50.64, while O'Meally delivered yet another personal-best performance at 51.87. Sanjay Weekes (DNF) showed competitiveness early in the race but was unable to finish due to injury.

Matthew Grano turned in one of the top distance performances of the meet in the 1500m, earning 2nd place with a personal-best time of 4:04.37.

In the field events, Nafew Mohammed emerged as a major contender in the javelin throw, launching a mark of 61.97m (203' 3"), positioning himself as one to watch heading into nationals.

The Wolverines will look to build on this momentum at Ramapo College's Last Chance Twilight meet on Friday, May 8th, their final tune-up before the NJCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
