Freshman Star Noel Dreist Commits to Division I New Haven University for Fall 2026

Newark, NJ | Essex freshman standout Noel Dreist has announced his commitment to New Haven University, joining the Chargers beginning in the Fall 2026 semester.

Dreist delivered a breakout debut season at Essex, finishing with 10 goals and 8 assists while ranking inside the NJCAA top 50 in goals scored, despite missing part of the year due to injury. His early-season dominance earned him multiple honors, including NJCAA Player of the Week in September, Conference Player of the Week, and a prestigious First Team All-Region selection.

Throughout the fall, Dreist consistently proved himself as one of the region's most dangerous attacking threats, highlighted by a nine-point performance against Dutchess Community College. His scoring ability, creativity, and competitiveness quickly made him a target for Division I programs.

New Haven University is a Division I program competing in the Northeast Conference (NEC).
