Wolverines Earn Men’s Soccer First Team All-Region Honors

Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Wolverines men's soccer team was well represented on this year's Region 19 All-Region list, as Noel Dreist, Lukas Laube, and Kristijan Penic each earned First Team All-Region for their outstanding performances during the 2025 season.

Freshman midfielder Noel Dreist (Cologne, Germany) made an immediate impact in his debut campaign, tallying 10 goals and 8 assists for 28 total points in just nine matches. A skilled playmaker with an impressive .833 shot percentage, Dreist's creativity and control in the midfield were key to Essex's dynamic attack.

Joining him in the midfield, freshman Lukas Laube (Zwickau, Germany) added 6 goals and 6 assists for 18 points across eight games. Laube's consistency, vision, and ability to generate scoring opportunities helped drive the Wolverines' offense all season long.

Up front, sophomore forward Kristijan Penic (Mrkonjić Grad, Serbia) was a dominant force, leading the team with 19 goals and 5 assists for 43 total points. Penic recorded two game-winning goals and a .404 shot percentage, solidifying his reputation as one of the most dangerous scorers in the region.

Congrats to our men's soccer Wolverine student-athletes!
