Wolverines Dominates in 14-0 Victory Over Lackawanna College

Newark, NJ | The Essex County College men's soccer team delivered a commanding performance on their home field, defeating Lackawanna College 14-0 in a one-sided contest that saw relentless offensive pressure and a clinic in finishing.

From the opening whistle, the Wolverines wasted no time establishing control. Kristijan Penic opened the scoring just two minutes into the match off a setup from Alexandre Faiteson, and the goals continued to pour in throughout the first half.

Penic completed his hat trick before halftime, while Marques McDonald and Roland Kabore each tallied two goals during the opening 45 minutes. Kabore's strikes included two unassisted efforts showcasing his individual skill. Also joining the first-half scoresheet were Noel DreistLukas Laube, and Faiteson, the latter collecting multiple assists alongside his first goal of the day.

By halftime, Essex had built a commanding 10-0 lead.

The second half saw no let-up. Faiteson added two more goals to complete a brace, assisted by McDonald and Mateo Merced. Dreist and Laube each scored again, trading assists to further seal the lopsided result.

Essex completely shut down Lackawanna defensively, allowing just one shot and no goals, with the visitors managing only one corner kick and no registered saves from Essex keepers—thanks to the defensive unit's dominance. Meanwhile, Essex racked up 14 goals, 7 corner kicks, and zero fouls committed.

Next game is October 22nd at home against Raritan Valley Community College, this will be our Sophomore Night.
