Wolverines Pick Up First Win Of The Season

Newark, NJ - The Wolverines picked up their first win of the season Saturday afternoon vs Five Towns College 4-1 and the first under newly appointed Head Coach Pedro Sousa. Freshmen Kristijan Penic led the Wolverines attack with two goals, followed by Sophomore Jaime Cobas with one goal and sophomore transfer Tyreece Francis with one goal as well.

Thoughts on the game from 1st year Head Coach Pedro Sousa, "for our first competitive regular season game, I thought we played well against a quality opponent. It's going to be a long season and we still have some tweaks to make, but I think this gives us some confidence to build off of and continue to improve".

Congrats to Coach Pedro on his first victory and good luck to the Wolverines the rest of the season!

The Wolverines return to action at Berkeley College on Tuesday September 10th, 4pm kickoff in Woodland Park, NJ.
