Both the men's and women's Wolverine soccer teams are preparing for their second seasons as the Region XIX tournament gets underway this weekend. The Lady Wolverines, coached by Monique Edouard, are the defending Region XIX champions. Hugo Pierre's team, the top seed in the region's Division I with a 9-2 record, will host Harcum College at 12:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25, at nearby New Jersey Institute of Technology's Lubetkin Field. The women's team, 6-5 on the campaign and the second seed in the region, will host Mercer County Community College 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 28 at a site that will be announced.

The men's team is anchored by defenseman Frantzly Zephirin, All Region XIX Player of the Year. The sophomore is joined by freshman Yves Desrosiers as two of the top five players in the region. Also named to the first team are sophomores Dominic Harrington and Fernando Suarez. The team is led in scoring by Harrington and freshman Ervin Jean-Pierre with eight goals apiece. Sophomores Marie Yasmine Alidou and Jodeen Whyte were named to the All Region XIX Women's top five for 2014. Freshman Paula Viana and sophomore Alexandra Desgagne are also on the region's first team.
