Newark, NJ – The Essex County College men's basketball team came up just short Thursday night, losing 66-64 to Division III ranked Union College.
Sophomore guard, Ethan Laquindanum led Essex with 11 points and 5 rebounds, while sophomore center, Rodney Willis Jr. posted a double-double with 8 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman guard, Blake Flores-Duncan added 9 points, hitting 5-of-6 free throws. Despite strong effort and a late rally, turnovers and shooting struggles (37% FG, 27% 3PT) kept the Wolverines from pulling out the win.
Essex will look to rebound in their next game against Rockland Community College on Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 PM in Newark.
