Newark, NJ - The Essex County College Men's Basketball team dropped a non-region game to SUNY Orange 87-73. Shane Cedres led the offense with 19 points and 3 assists and Ricardo Gomezz posted 11 points and 7 rebounds. Essex shot 52.8% from the field, but also allowed their opponents to shoot 54.3%. The Wolverines trailed by single digits until mid-way through the 2nd half, when the visitors defense and proficient offense became too much.
Nicolas Rodrigues De Souza also chipped in with 12 points and 3 steals.
The Wolverines (8-16) return to action Tuesday for another non-region game at Atlantic Cape Community College, for a 7pm tipoff.
