Newark, NJ | After three straight games on the road, the Wolverines finally return to their home court to take on the Cardinals of CCBC Catonsville (2-2). However, we unable to pick up their first win of the season as the Cardinals were able to hold on the win. 59-56.
It was a back and forth game at Cleo Hill Sr. The Wolverines' defense was able to keep the Cardinals to only a 2 point lead going into halftime. The Wolverines came out strong to start the second half and were able to hold their own, keeping it a close game. Three players found themselves in the double digits tonight. Once again, freshman Ethan Laquindanum led the way with 15 points and 6 assists. In their first starts of the season, freshmen Keon Sampson and Jaden Reid added 12 points and 11 points respectively.
The Wolverines (0-4) return home Tuesday night at 7:00pm to open up Region XIX play against Lackawanna College.
