Wolverines Fall to Westchester on the Road

Newark, NJ | Essex County College (0-3) men's basketball team was on the road for the third straight time this season, this time they traveled to New York to take on Westchester Community College. Unfortunately, they dropped their third contest of the season, 93-86. 

The Wolverines went up early, leading at halftime 51-49. But we unable to hang onto the lead as Westchester out shot us from the field.  Despite the loss, freshman Ethan Laquindanum continued his strong start to his collegiate career leading the team in scoring with 24 points going 2-3 from the 3-point line and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line. Laquindanum also added 10 assists and 8 rebounds. Another freshman starter, Jarrett Nelson added 21 points to the scoresheet. And sophomore Ricardo Gomez, contributed 17 points and 7 rebounds.. 

The men return home for the first time this season Thursday night take on CCBC Catonsville.
