Essex County College Track & Field Concludes Indoor Season at NJCAA Division I National Championships

Topeka, Kansas— The Essex County College Wolverines Indoor Track & Field team wrapped up its 2026 indoor campaign with several strong performances at the NJCAA Division I National Championships held March 6–7 in Topeka, Kansas.

Leading the way for the Wolverines was Iddrish Musah, who delivered a standout performance in the men's 200 meters. Musah clocked a personal record time of 21.67 seconds, finishing 24th out of 37 competitors, while also setting a new Essex County College indoor school record in the event.

Teammate Sanjay Weekes also competed in the men's 200 meters, finishing 31st with a time of 22.16 seconds.

On the women's side, Kadina Deeble recorded a personal record of 7.99 seconds in the women's 60 meters, placing 37th out of 40 competitors. Deeble also competed in the women's 60-meter hurdles but was disqualified during the event.

Freshman Ma-Avian Williams competed in two events, placing 18th in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.03 seconds and 32nd in the women's 60 meters with a time of 7.83 seconds.

Aaliyaha Morgan turned in a season-best performance of 59.33 seconds in the women's 400 meters, finishing 22nd out of 25 competitors, while Nebia Montrope competed in the women's 600 meters and finished 20th with a time of 1:48.57.

On the men's side, Abdul Rahaman added another personal milestone, recording a personal record of 1:22.94 in the 600 meters, placing 22nd out of 26 competitors.

The Wolverines closed the indoor season with multiple personal best performances and a new school record, highlighting the team's growth throughout the winter campaign. The team now looks to build on that momentum as they transition into the outdoor season.

Essex County College will open its outdoor track & field season on March 27–28 at the Ramapo Invite, where the Wolverines hope to carry their indoor progress into the spring competition schedule.
