Aniya Brown: All-GSAC Guard Making an Impact
Newark, NJ- At 5'7", sophomore guard Aniya Brown from Newark, New Jersey, has emerged as one of the GSAC's most versatile and impactful players, earning All-GSAC honors this season. Wearing No. 24, Brown has become a force in the backcourt, contributing on both ends of the floor with scoring, rebounding, and playmaking.
Through 25 games, she's averaged 12.6 points per game on 41.3% shooting from the field, while connecting on 32.3% of her three-point attempts. Her 71.7% free-throw shooting ensures she's reliable in key moments, giving her team a steady scoring option down the stretch.
Brown's all-around contributions are impressive: she grabs 6.4 rebounds per game—a standout number for a guard—and dishes out 4.2 assists per contest.
