Essex Welcomes Jahreal Cadogan as Head Coach Women's Basketball

August 2023 - The Essex Athletics Department welcomes Jahreal Cadogan as the new head coach for the Essex women's basketball team!

Cadogan takes over the lady Wolverines post following two seasons as the assistant coach for the Essex men's basketball team.

A former student-athlete on the Essex men's basketball team from 2018 - 2020. Cadogan was the Wolverines starting point guard and main leaders of the team that led them to a 20-7 record, a Region 19 Championship, and a trip to the DII National Tournament in 2019-2020. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, the tournament was cancelled. 

Bobbie Morgan, head coach for the Essex men's basketball team had this to say about Coach Cadogan. "Congrats to my former champion point guard and assistant coach Jahreal Cadogan being named the head women's basketball coach at Essex! When you give people opportunities to enter the coaching world, this is always the end result you want. I am very proud of him wish him the best!"
